Sterntaler im Staub Shop

What’s the sound of gold dust? We attached nearly 70 piezo disks to both storefront and window of the STAUB SHOP. Whispering and metallic sounds draw the pedastrians attentions towards and into the shop and gallery.

The sound installation was opened in context of the vernissage of an exhibition of gold jewelery by young designers from Berlin. Contrary to all expections the installation lasted almost a month and resisted wind and water. We wove the sounds of coins, iron particles and other metallic parts into a generative composition, combined them with unharmonic synthetic sounds and made them fall down the facade.
